Why did we HOKKAIDO X start supporting Hokkaido travel for overseas travelers?
“X Story” is the story behind that inspiration.

1) 20 years ago
I was born and raised in Hokkaido.
While I was a student in the 1990s, I traveled to various countries in Asia to broaden my perspectives.
Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Turkey, etc.
I did not have much money since I was traveling as a student,
however there were countless moments when I received kindness from the many people I met throughout Asia.
This trip around Asia still remains as one of the most valuable experiences in my life.
To this day, I vividly remember the many hospitalities I received, and they are important memories of my trip.

2) What I can do now?
It has been 20 years since my trip around Asia.
During these 20 years, I had been thinking about how I could repay the kindness
I received in my trip from the people of Asia.
And now finally, I have been able to realize this with HOKKAIDO X

3) Token of gratitude
Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Korea.
Today, there are many people from these countries I visited 20 years ago who travel to Hokkaido in Japan.
My mission with HOKKAIDO X is,
To make it an enjoyable trip for these people.
To make it a safe and comfortable trip for these people.
To introduce the splendor of Hokkaido as much as possible with the available budget of those people.
It is my joy to be able to provide support to visitors from around Asia on their visit to Hokkaido,
and this is my token of gratitude for the experience I was given 20 years ago.
