Q8Can I redeem the bus pass before the start date of use in advance?
Q8Yes, You can redeem the bus pass before the start date of use. The period of use is stamped on your bus pass.
Q9Can I cancel my e-ticket which I had already bought?
Q9Cancellation is possible up to the day before the use start date. It can not be canceled after that day.Cancellation is not possible if the purchase date is the use start date.
Also, after issuing the bus pass at the ticket sales office, it cannot be canceled regardless of the use start date.

A1It is about the unlimited ride bus pass. On this website we sell two kinds of bus pass.Hokkaido Inter City Bus Pass and Hokkaido Budget Bus Pass.
A2There are 2 types of bus pass?
A2We have ICBP(Hokkaido Inter City Bus Pass) & HBBP(Hokkaido Budget Bus Pass). ICBP is the bus pass which covers the central area of Hokkaido. You do not need to make seat reservation for all the bus routes of ICBP covered area. HBBP covers the whole of Hokkaido which includes ICBP available area. And you also can make route reservations for long distance express bus routes with HBBP.
A3When and where can I get the bus pass?
A3You need 2 steps for getting the bus pass as follow. STEP1. Buy a e-ticket for exchanging the bus pass on our website. STEP2. Exchange your e-ticket to the bus pass at the ticket office in Hokkaido.

A4What is e-ticket?
A4It is a ticket for exchange of bus pass. You can purchase online payment on this website. You cannot get on the bus by using the E ticket. It is necessary to exchange it to the bus pass at the ticket office.

C1What is the payment method?
C1Payment method can be selected from credit cards (VISA/MasterCard/JCB/AMEX/DINERS) or Alipay.[Alipay settlement in preparation]
C2How long can we make a reservation for e-ticket in advance?
C2Up to 60 days in advance you can specify the start date of use.
C3Can I buy several e-tickets together?
C3Yes, you can purchase e-ticket up to 10 people at a time. But the condition is that they are same type of bus pass, same period of use, same start date of use.
C4Is it possible to purchase multiple e-tickets by one person?
C4Yes. It is possible. However, multiple purchases over the same period are not possible. Please select the start date so that usage period will not overlap. example: 3 days BUDGET BUS PASS + 5 days INTER CITY BUS PASS = total 8 days
C5What are the age groups for a Child?
C5Children aged 1 to 11. At the time of purchase of the electronic ticket, if it is between 1 and 11 years old, he/she will be subject to the child fee.
C6Can I check if the electronic ticket purchase is done correctly?

DCANCEL & REFUND
D1What is the cancellation policy?

1. Cancellation is possible up to the day before the use start date. It can not be canceled after that day.
2. Cancellation is not possible if the purchase date is the use start date.
3. After issuing the bus pass at the ticket office, you cannot cancel it regardless of the start date of use.
4. The cancellation fee within the cancelable period is 0 yen.
5. Cancellation can only be done on this website My Page. Please note that it will not be accepted by e-mail or at ticket office.
6. In case of canceling, all orders purchased at the time of purchase are canceled.

1. Even if you cancel route reservation Bus pass will not be canceled.
2. As long as you have a bus pass, you can cancel your route reservation multiple times for free.
3. If you cancel the bus pass, route reservation will be canceled at the same time.

D2You can cancel both e-ticket and seat reservation only in your My Page on this website.
D3Can I cancel my e-ticket which I had already bought?

D4Do I need to pay the cancellation charge for e-ticket cancellation?

D5How long do credit card refunds take?
D5The time required for refund processing varies depending on the credit card company. Please contact your credit card company directly for details.
D6When I cancel e-ticket, what will happen to the route reservation which I already made?
D6If you cancel the e-ticket (HBBP), the route you reserved will be canceled at the same time.

E1What is “Route reservation”?
E1Among bus routes available for bus passes, some long-distance express bus routes need to be booked in advance. Customers who purchase [Hokkaido Budget Bus Pass]can book them on this website.
E2How can I know the number of seats available of long-distance express bus?
E2Step1. Click the “BUY NOW ” button on the top page of our website.
Step2. Find the “Route Reservation” on the next page.
Step3. Select the long-distance express bus route which you would like to ride.
Step4. Then you can find the timetable, bus location, number of available seats of the long-distance express bus.
E3Where can I make a “Route reservation”?
E3Customers who purchase [Hokkaido Budget Bus Pass] can book them on this website. We cannot accept either route reservations at the ticket offices or route reservation by e-mails.
E4Can I designate a seat when making a “Route reservation”?
E4In the route reservation system on this website, it is possible to secure one seat for you on that route, but you cannot specify the seat position. And For overnight buses, please understand that there are separate male seats (front area) and female seats (rear area).
E5When can I make a “Route reservation”?
E5After buying e-ticket of HOKKAIDO BUDGET BUS PASS on this website, you can make a route reservation immediately. However, the time to start accepting route reservations will vary according to each route.
Attention: We suggest that you make a reservation at least 2 weeks before the departure date, espicially oveernight express bus.
E6How long can we make a reservation for routes in advance?
E6Route reservation can be made in advance from 60 days before. This is the same as the e-ticket usage start date. However, the time to start accepting route reservations will vary depending on the route.
E7Is there a deadline for route reservation?
E7The deadline for route reservation varies depending on the route. Generally it is the reservation deadline about 12 hours before departure.
E8Can I check if the reservation for the route is correct?
E8You can check it on Reservation status confirmation on your “My Page” on our website. Please refer to the “My Page” on the “USE” page on our website.
E9Is there a limit on the number of route reservations?
E9No. As long as it is within the bus pass usage period, route reservations are possible any number of times. However, you cannot reserve other routes within the same period as the line you reserved. If you want to change the reservation, you must cancel the previous reservation and make a new reservation.
E10I am afraid that there is no empty seat for the long-distance express bus and I can not book a seat after buying the bus pass. How to do for avoiding it?
E10We suggest that you buy an e-ticket and book your seat of the long-distance express bus at least 2 weeks before the departure date. Some long-distance express buses are very popular, especially overnight express buses.
E11Can I use my pass on a night bus?
E11Yes. The night bus can also be used for the pass.
You can use the night bus that departs on the last night of the validity period (arrived the next morning). For example, in the case of a 3-day ticket, the night bus that depart at the night on the 3rd day and arrives at the destination on the 4th day.
However, night buses are very popular and are likely to become full. We recommend that you book your route at least 3 weeks in advance.
E12Do I have to reserve my seat for all the express bus(ex. Sapporo – Asahikawa)?
E12Not all express buses require a seat reservation.
Seat reservation is required only for long-distance express buses which are listed on the “Route Reservation” on our website. Other than that, no reservation is required.

F1From the purchase of the electronic ticket until the use start date of use, you can exchange at any time at the ticket offices.However, please be aware that it cannot be canceled after issuing the bus pass.

F3What do I need for redeeming the bus pass at the ticket office?
F3All you need is an electronic ticket(your name & ticket number) and passport. Please show the electronic ticket to the ticket office staff. It’s OK with your smartphone screen or printed paper. Since we will also verify your identity, please have your passport ready.
Passport of all users are necessary.
F4I lost my pass after I received the bus pass. Can you reissue it?
F4We are sorry to say that we cannot reissue the bus pass. Please purchase new e-ticket on our website again and redeem it at the ticket office.
F5Can I redeem the bus pass before the start date of use in advace?
F5Yes, You can redeem the bus pass before the start date of use. The period of use is stamped on your bus pass. Which means the start date of use is no change.
F6Can my friend redeem my pass on behalf of me?
F6When redeeming your pass, we need to verify your identity with your passport at the ticket office. Therefore, a person other than the pass user cannot redeem the pass.

G2Is the timetable different between summer and winter?
G2we have 2 timetables. summer version(APR-OCT) & winter version(NOV-MAR). But differences are not so big, so we suggest that you make your own itinerary based on the current timetables. Because it is issued only at the last minute (issue date of summer version: begin APR, issue date of winter: begin NOV ).
G3Is there any space to put my luggage?
G3Both of Carry-on luggage and trunk luggage should weigh less than 30 kilograms in total, and each piece should be no more than 2 meter in length and 0.25 cubic meters in capacity.
